Growing your own food is almost like printing your own money. The creator of this intelligently designed, interconnected ecosystem we’re a part of enabled us to grow delicious, nutrient-rich food from the dirt – and yet, there are millions of people starving and most people in the developed world think it’s more important to have a lawn and a pool than it is to have a garden.
We’ve become so dependent on the local grocery stores that we fail to realize that a disruption to the system can cause major havoc. These stores are usually only stocked with a few days of food. It’s best to be prepared if need be, which is why growing some of your own food (if you’re able too) is so important.
Imagine if everyone in the area where you live focused on growing a specific fruit or vegetable. We could just swap with one another and get a huge variety.. and all for the cost of the seeds, water and maintenance. This would likely save us all a lot of money and make us more prepared and independent.
